More Dub!

Back again, again with more dub. Except this time is sounds like techno, maybe it is, maybe it isn't. It is a matter of opinion. I don't know any techno artists so I guess that there is little to no inspiration. I used the SimSynth two times for two different sounds. They sound close but one is distinctly deeper. I used the DNC Kick, FLS Hihat 04, and FLS Snare 05a. For synth one I also used a Cut Off envelope, Emphasis Envelope, High Envelope, and Band Envelope automation clips. The into starts really slow on one note with a slow drum pattern. As the song progress's, it picks up the pace slightly and then breaks into a cheasy synthy riff with no drums. After two play throughs it comes in again with the drums. A steady 1\4 kick pattern. The cheasy riff comes back with a lower octave and the envelopes. The song slows down and comes back to a bridge-type section with SimSynth 2 . After that is a spinoff on the cheasy pattern and finally an outro consisting of both synth's.

  1. Good job, consider mixing the synth a little softer so the drums come through. Also consider a shorter release time on the main synth to make the synth line more rhythmic.
    Nice drum variation at 1:01!

    Great work this semester!
